Colin Weldon writes science fiction and literary fiction from Dublin. Six novels so far, including the Agathon trilogy, with a seventh in progress. He also holds an MA in Screenwriting and spent years working as a professional actor.
Biography
Colin Weldon lives and writes in Dublin. He is the author of six novels: the three books of the Agathon trilogy, the science fiction thriller Hunting Nora Stone, the space opera Forgotten Star, and the thriller Killing Carter. A seventh novel is in progress.
He studied Journalism at Griffith College Dublin before taking an MA in Screenwriting, and holds a diploma in video game narrative. Before writing full time he worked for years as a professional actor, which is where the ear for dialogue and the instinct for a scene came from.
His books ask what is out there, and what it costs the people who go looking. Deep space signals nobody can decode, first contact that goes badly, the last of humanity aboard a single ship. And always someone ordinary caught in the middle of it.
He is currently serialising a science fiction novel on Substack, and talks about science fiction on YouTube and TikTok.
